RESTORE. HEAL. EXPAND. OVERCOME.

Therapy is the medium for creating secure relationships with clients and the vessel that holds space to process pain and explore solutions. I use a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to support individuals and families on their journey to healing, connection, and balance. Collaboratively we will focus on your priorities to restore relationships, heal from trauma, expand self-confidence, overcome anxiety and alleviate depression. I empower clients to get curious about how they show up in the world – in their work, relationships, and the way they talk to themselves – that’s when real change begins.

Hi, I’m Victoria Monaghan. I am a licensed therapist who provides individual and family counseling to kids, teens and young adults. My approach is interactive, warm, and accepting, and my goal is to help clients slow down and reconnect with what matters most in life.

My resume is colored with a variety of jobs working with diverse populations. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, family conflict, parenting, divorce, life transitions, and issues with adjustment. I especially have a passion for working with teen girls navigating sexual identity and the rising issues with social media. I also take interest in counseling young adults eager to find their passion in life, be their authentic self, and live a life they have always dreamed.

I started my professional journey at the University of South Florida, where I received a B.A. in Psychology in 2014, and went on to earn my Masters in Social work in 2017. Go Bulls! After graduation, I worked with children, teens and families in an assortment of mental health settings including outpatient, inpatient, school-based and in-home care. My young age and ability to relate to adolescents helped foster an instant connection with many of the kids and teens I encountered. I helped numerous kids develop a higher sense of self-esteem and self-awareness by equipping them with tools to regulate their emotions. In 2019 I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and two years later I entered the private sector and achieved my ultimate goal of opening my own practice.

In my free time I enjoy all things outdoors in beautiful Venice, FL. Kayaking, riding bikes, walks at the park, gardening, and going to the beach are a few of my favorite activities. My other hobbies include house plants, reading, yoga, exercise, watching Netflix and going to USF football games.

I am a Certified Trauma Professional and have distinctive training in adoption competency, infant-mental health, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Circle of Security Parenting, and a variety of treatment modalities that address trauma and attachment-related concerns. Recently, I started utilizing Animal-Assisted Therapy with the assistance of my Certified Therapy Dog, Bauer.
